At our office, we offer a friendly, professional atmosphere to patients in Desoto County and the surrounding area. We believe in putting our patient's well-being first while providing exceptional care. Our team is here to serve all your dental care needs.

Dr. Alfonso is an alumni of the University of Memphis where he graduated with honors with a BS in Vertebrate Zoology in 1976. He then went on to earn a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health & Sciences in 1981. Dr. Alfonso opened his first office in Memphis where he practiced for seven years. In 1988, he moved his office to Southaven, MS where he still practices today. Dr. Alfonso continues his education by taking annual courses in his field to provide the most advanced care to his patients.
Dr. Alfonso is a member of the Memphis Dental Society, Tennessee Dental Society and the American Dental Association. He volunteers his services at the Memphis Church Health Centers and is on the Board of the Southaven Public Library. Dr. Alfonso has been named Top Dentist in the Memphis Metropolitan area by Memphis Magazine 2011 & 2012. He is also a Trademark Who's Who Top Doctors Honors Edition 2017 and a Leading Physician of the World & Top Dentist in Southaven, MS by The International Association of HealthCare Professionals.
In his spare time, Dr. Alfonso enjoys playing golf and running. He is a seven-time finisher of the St. Jude Marathon and enjoys participating in races year round. Dr. Alfonso and his wife, Patty have three wonderful children, Nic, Katie & Grace, one extraordinary grandchild, Jackson, and an adorable rescue dog, Ava Daisy Maria.

What time do you start seeing patients?
We offer early morning appointments starting at 6:30AM to help fit our patient's schedules
I'm nervous about my appointment. How can I overcome this?
We have a service dog on staff to help calm patients who may be anxious. We want you to be comfortable at your visit and also offer nitrous oxide so you can get the care you need
What age patients do you see?
We are a famliy practice and see children starting at age 3 to adults age 90+
How often should I get my teeth checked?
We recommend getting your teeth checked twice a year. Call our friendly staff today to book your appointment
